QUALIFICATIONS

• B.Sc. degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering, or a recognised scaffolding supervisory qualification (CISRS Advanced Scaffolder or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of scaffolding experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or engineering role.
• Working knowledge of international scaffolding standards (BS EN 12811, OSHA, COSHH, or equivalent).
• Valid scaffold inspection certification (CISRS, NPORS, or equivalent) preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Develop and maintain the site-wide scaffolding plan, coordinating access requirements with civil, mechanical, electrical, and piping disciplines throughout all project phases.
• Design or review scaffolding schemes for complex structures —pressure vessels, columns, pipe racks, and heat exchangers, suspended scaffolding — ensuring load-bearing capacity and safe access.
• Prepare scaffolding material take-offs and maintain an accurate inventory of scaffolding assets on site.
• Ensure scaffolding is erected strictly in accordance with approved designs, method statements, and relevant international standards (BS EN 12811, OSHA 1926, or equivalent).
• Issue and manage scaffold tags (green/yellow/red) to control scaffold status and communicate safe-use conditions to all site users.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date scaffolding records including erection requests, scaffold tag register, inspection logs, modification records, and dismantling sign-offs.
• Ensure method statements and risk assessments (MSRA) are prepared, reviewed, and approved prior to the commencement of any scaffolding activity.
• Support close-out documentation including final scaffold clearance certificates at project completion.
