Director Of Finance

We are currently seeking for a “Director of Finance” who can provide all financial support, advice and expertise to the owners, General Manager and the entire team, with the aim of maximizing value and to develop the quality of the accounting and financial requirements within the Hotel.

JOB DESCRIPTION

·         Prepare capital reviews as required by the General Manager and/or the owner of the hotel

·         Develop best practice financial accounting and control procedures and continually review the process and procedures to maximise impact and efficiency

·         Lead monthly finance update meetings with the owner

·         Review regularly the balance sheets, ensure reconciliations are performed of all cluster hotels controlled accounts and explain all balances even if reconciled elsewhere

·         Assist Heads of the Department to improve their financial awareness and provide them with relevant financial information for their operations

·         Overall management of the accounting records and financial reports of the hotel, ensuring compliance with company, owner, statutory and fiscal requirements and timetable

·         Liaise and co-operate with both Internal and External audits and ensure that corrective action is taken where required

·         Ensure a regular cycle of forecasting is taking place with content and detail appropriate to the needs of the operation.

·         Manage the formulation, review and approval of budgeting and strategic planning within the hotel, identifying value opportunities

·         Ensure legal and tax compliance and that adequate insurance cover is maintained

QUALIFICATIONS

·         Due to the country legislations, only Turkish Nationals can be considered for this role.

·         Must have Hotelier experience.

·         BA/BSc in finance, accounting or related field

·         3+ years in a similar position, preferably within a 5* Hotel chain.

·         Excellent oral and written skills in Turkish and English

·         Ability to work independently, thrive under pressure and/or challenging circumstances and come up with proactive, rational solutions

·         Ability to establish and retain effective working relationships with hotel staff and clients/vendors

·         Ability to identify and delegate tasks effectively

·         Excellent organizational and time management skills

·         Applies a professional, confidential and ethical approach at all times

·         Works in a safe, prudent and organized manner

·         Having high comfort level of Microsoft Office applications.

·         Experience in Logo accounting software is a plus

·         Knowledge of the generally accepted accounting principles, PCI DSS and local regulations and taxation

·         In-depth knowledge of modern and complex principles and practices of hotel accounting and operations

·         Experience in reporting, forecasting and budgeting
