Mud Logging Geologist (Field-Based)

We are looking for Field Engineers to join our team in the oil and gas industry. This is a field-based position designed for candidateswho want to pursue their careers in drilling operations and gain hands-on experience at active rig sites.

This role offers the opportunity to work in dynamic and challenging environments while developing practical geological and drilling monitoring skills under real field conditions.

Work Environment & Rotation System

• These are field assignment positions for onshore or offshore drilling operations in Türkiye
• The job follows a rotation-based schedule
• 12-hour shift system (day and night shifts)

Key Responsibilities

• Real-time monitoring of drilling operations at the rig site
• Collecting and conducting basic geological analysis of drill cuttings
• Performing preliminary interpretation of drilling and mud logging data
• Supporting safe drilling operations by communicating geological and operational observations to the rig team
• Providing on-site technical support when required, including assisting with equipment-related issues
• Maintaining a proactive approach toward Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards
• Preparing daily mud logs, special logs, and written reports for the client

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering, Geophysical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Mining Engineering
• Fluent English (both written and spoken); additional languages are considered an advantage
• Good computer skills, including MS Office and the ability to work with specialized software systems
• Strong mathematical and analytical thinking skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to adapt to challenging field conditions and remote work environments
• Strong awareness and commitment to QHSE standards
