Product Engineer

• Requires a degree in engineering and a minimum of 7 years experience as a Development
• Ability to calculate and design heating and cooling management systems for high voltage battery applications.
• Comprehensive experience in A.O.E. product design, GD&T, and design validation necessary.
• Must be experienced in use of CAD systems.
  
• Execute and analyze results of 2D & 3D simulations in the areas of thermal dynamics and heat transfer, fluid dynamics and general mechanics
• Experience in supplier identification, qualification, supplier technical feasibility management, prototyping.
• Experiencing in defining, developing and presenting technical specifications, DFMEA and DVP&R, performance measurement criteria
• Provide technical support for developing thermal performance and structural testing rigs, testing methods and post-test analysis
• Knowledge in automotive relevant quality standards for component design and material selection
• Experience in defining, executing and analyzing component and system level benchmarking assessment

       Gates is the one of the leading companies in Automotive Industry all over the world. Our main products are Tensioners in İzmir facility. We are looking for new energetic, ambitious, team members for our facility in Aegean Free Zone. Product Engineer will have the responsibilities below

•      Performs all design related back office activities like product designing, engineering analyses/calculations to optimize product design to respect design boundary for performance, cost and manufacturing perspectives, in close cooperation with lead engineers, process engineering, supplier side manufacturing engineers, testing engineers & application engineers  
•       Determines testing requirements with the testing engineer which must be performed to assure function, durability and manufacturing aspects. 
•        As changes are required based on customer requests or test results, updates the design of the system and/or the parts and prepares detailed information concerning changes.
•       Responsible for managing design projects for standard metal commodities.
•       Controls product and material production specifications through close communication with various teams engaged in supplier and Gates production facilities.
•       Responsible for the release of customer drawings and approval of internal assembly and single component drawings to ensure achievement of product requirements.
•       Participates in corrective and preventive actions as a team member for assigned problem solving activities, identifies and communicates discovered or potential product non-conformance and recommends and implements corrective action at any stage of product development.
•       This role is the accountable to plan, execute and control all aspects of a project which are within the scope of the design engineering according to the valid Gates APQP procedure to fulfill the project targets regarding time, cost, quality and risk.
•       This role is closely cooperating with the Lead Engineering team and the application engineer to achieve the project targets.
•       This role is responsible to complete the monthly reports of her/his dedicated projects and all other technical documentation and reports required for executing the product design work packet.
