WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

As we are building our very first product and already planning for the following set, we need talented minds to join our team. Read on if you believe you:

• Are a believer of lifelong learning. Technology is not just our job but it's also our hobby. There’s always a better, easier, faster way of doing things. We need someone with eyes set on the horizon, looking for the next thing; research, test, learn, implement, monitor and improve it.
• Understand what a new team is. We are building the very core team that’ll be working on many things for years to come and it comes with all the pains of a new team. On the plus side, we know it and are committed to getting better each and every day.
• Don’t need to be managed. Of course, we care about results and timelines but we all take ownership of our tasks and don’t need to be reminded to do so. We will lead you and enable you but we don’t care why you need the rest of the day off or and certainly no need to see you stressed over how to ask for some time-off.

WHAT ARE THE SKILLS YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

If you are feeling comfortable with this stack on day one, you’ll do alright.

• Virtualization & Containers: You will be asked to update containers, deploy VMs and troubleshoot issues that may arise while doing so.
• System Troubleshooting: We have a broad range of server systems that needs your attention. Mostly Linux based with nginx, apache, activemq, sql etc. services on top. You are not expected to know it all but need to be able to understand, learn and keep on gaining expertise and be able to troubleshoot on every topic we need your support with.
• Clouds: We work with many clouds and may work with local clouds too. You need to be open minded and learn how to accomplish different tasks on such platforms. Training and certification support is on the table.

WHAT YOU ARE EXPECTED TO DO

A System Engineer is expected to:

• Knows how to maintain the security, confidentiality and integrity of information systems through compliance.
• Manage live test and production environments. Work with service providers, system integrators and vendors as necessary to see any problem through resolution.
• Identify and resolve issues preventing delivery.
• Provide guidance, research as necessary to find the best tool to get the job done.
• Learn. Technology is ever changing so should you. We will support you in doing so.
