  QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduated from relevant engineering departments of university
• Minimum  least 5 years of experience in occupational safety
• Legally required health and safety certificate
• Experienced in auditing and observing actively in the field (preferably with internal auditor certificate)
• Having knowledge of national and international legislation and documentation system on Occupational Health and Safety,
• Fluent in English –written and oral
• Knowledge able to about ISO 45001 occupational safety management system
• Having problem solving and analytical thinking skills, researcher, result oriented, attention to detail,
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent team player,organized and proactive
• Knowledge able to about MS Office programs effectively
• Knowledge able to about root cause analysis
• Having a class B license and able to drive actively, no travel restrictions

       JOB DESCRIPTION

• Provides all requirements of national and international legislation, standards and internal standards related to Occupational Health and Safety,
• Ensures the realization of all duties within the scope of the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331, the Regulation on the Duties, Authorities and Responsibilities of Occupational Safety Specialists and other relevant legislation (Guidance, Risk Assessment, Work Environment Surveillance, Training-Information-Registration, Cooperation with Relevant Units, etc.) and ensures that all these studies are followed with targets,
• Participates in investigation to prevent recurrence of work incident, near miss, occupational disease or any dangerous event in the workplace, ensures root cause analysis, preparation of reports and actions in coordination with operations and monitoring,
• Responds to emergency situations involving hazardous materials, fire or unknown hazards; prepares reports of findings and submits recommendations
• Develops emergency preparedness plans and creates employee resources to direct workers in potentially dangerous situations.
• Ensures the selection of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) suitable for the job, performs checks to ensure its correct and regular use,
• Evaluates new equipment or machinery purchased within the scope of in-house investments in terms of OHS and Risk,
• Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices, in order to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
• Participate in the studies and implementation related to the risk assessment in terms of occupational health and safety, to make suggestions to the employer about the health and safety measures to be taken as a result of the risk assessment and to follow up
• Educate employers and workers about workplace safety by preparing and  providing training programs
• Plans monthly occupational health and Safety committee meetings, prepares meeting minutes and follows up on actions.
• Follows up the payments made within the scope of certification, inspection and tests, ensures that they are created in the system and their approval is carried out,
• It ensures that occupational health and Safety orientation trainings are given and recorded for the visitors coming to the company.
