China Trade Operations & Customer Relations Specialist

Our U.S.-based international trading group, active in the fields of textiles, energy commodities, construction, and metallurgical products, is seeking a qualified team member for our Istanbul office.

Our Textile Division operates internationally in the supply of cotton fiber, cotton yarn, wool tops, wool yarns, and textile raw materials, with a strong focus on China and Central Asia related trade operations.

Job Description

• Managing and following up China-related trade operations and sourcing activities
• Maintaining and developing existing customer relationships
• Developing new customer portfolios and conducting market research
• Coordinating communication with international suppliers and customers
• Following quotation, order, sampling, production, and shipment processes
• Conducting active commercial communication via e-mail, WeChat, and online trade platforms
• Supporting international fairs, customer visits, and business development activities

Qualifications

• University degree preferred
• Good command of English
• Experience in foreign trade, textiles, sourcing, or customer relations preferred
• Interest in China trade and international business culture
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Solution-oriented and detail-focused working approach
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Familiarity with WeChat, Alibaba, or international sourcing platforms is an advantage
• Based in Istanbul

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in textile yarn or raw material trading
• Previous experience working with Chinese suppliers or customers
• Additional foreign language skills
• International trade operations experience
