Position Purpose

The primary objective of the Business Development Specialist role is to drive the company's global business development initiatives by researching, analyzing, and managing strategic data related to companies, facilities, and equipment operating in high-temperature industries (primarily the glass industry, as well as petrochemical, iron & steel, waste-to-energy, and energy sectors).

The position is expected to play a key role in establishing and continuously improving the company's global business intelligence infrastructure while supporting strategic business development activities through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain global sector-based company databases and continuously improve data quality.
• Design, organize, and manage master data structures by cleaning and consolidating multiple data sources.
• Build and maintain the global facility database through country–plant mapping.
• Research and analyze technical information related to furnaces and equipment (repair dates, campaign durations, EPC contractors, designers, suppliers, etc.).
• Conduct market and supplier research, including vendor registration requirements and procurement portals.
• Identify and verify key decision-makers at technical, procurement, engineering, and executive management levels.
• Generate market intelligence and analytical insights to support global business development strategies.
• Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports, dashboards, and business analyses.
• Contribute to CRM optimization, data governance, and business intelligence processes.
• Identify new business opportunities through market research and competitive analysis.
• Utilize AI-powered research and productivity tools to improve data collection and analysis efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, International Trade, or a related field.
• Strong experience or demonstrated interest in market research, business intelligence, and data analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Power Query, Pivot Tables, Power Pivot is an advantage).
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and data classification skills.
• Highly detail-oriented with a systematic and structured working approach.
• Minimum B1 level English (B2 or above preferred).
• Ability to conduct research using international databases and sources.
• Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple research projects simultaneously.
• Comfortable working in a KPI- and performance-driven environment.
• Strong interest in international business development and commercial strategy.
• Willingness to leverage AI tools in research and business development processes.
