Medical Interpreter / Translator

Booking Surgery is looking for dedicated and professional Interpreters to join our team at our contracted hospitals. We are seeking candidates who will bridge the communication gap between international patients and medical staff, ensuring a seamless healthcare experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate Communication: Provide accurate consecutive interpretation between patients, doctors, and nursing staff.

• Written Translation: Assist in the translation of medical reports, consent forms, and patient instructions.

• Patient Advocacy: Support patients with their non-clinical needs and ensure they feel comfortable and informed throughout their stay.

• Coordination: Assist in the coordination of treatment plans by ensuring all parties are aligned through clear communication.

General Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Translation and Interpretation, Philology, Applied Languages, or a related field.

• Language Skills: Near-native fluency in English (both written and verbal). Proficiency in additional languages is a significant plus.

• Experience: Previous experience in medical translation or the health tourism industry is preferred.

• Soft Skills: High emotional intelligence, a friendly and positive demeanor, and strong problem-solving skills.

• Availability: Ability to work in a shift system and adapt to flexible working hours.

• Professionalism: Strict adherence to patient confidentiality (HIPAA/KVKK) and medical ethics.
