We are seeking an Accounting Manager with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience to join our Istanbul Head Office. The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the accounting and financial reporting activities of Hill International's Turkey Region, ensuring compliance with local statutory and tax regulations as well as corporate financial policies. The role oversees daily accounting operations, supports financial planning and reporting, and serves as the primary liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily accounting operations of the Turkey Region.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end financial closing.
• Prepare financial reports in accordance with corporate and statutory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements across the region.
• Coordinate external audits and maintain relationships with auditors, banks, and government authorities.
• Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Maintain effective internal controls and ensure compliance with Hill International's financial policies and procedures.
• Support project financial reporting and work closely with operational management on financial matters.
• Supervise and develop the local accounting team.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Good knowledge of accounting standards, tax legislation, and US Gaap.
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Previous experience in an engineering consultancy, construction, or project-based environment is preferred.
• Fluency in Turkish and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Team-oriented with demonstrated leadership capabilities
