Founding Team Intern — Commercial & Operations

A jack-of-all-trades seat inside the founding team.

Istanbul (Ayazağa, Sarıyer) · 3 days/week in office · Sept–Dec 2026, extendable · Paid

About Globalink

Globalink is an AI-powered cross-border e-commerce platform that lets Turkish brands and manufacturers sell on international marketplaces — Amazon, Noon, Namshi and beyond — with zero commissions and zero operational burden on the seller.

We run the entire e-export chain: product data, marketplace integration, pricing, logistics, customer service, returns and compliance. Our AI engine automates category mapping, content optimization and pricing from a single integration point.

We are live in the US, UAE and Saudi Arabia, with Europe and Asia next, and a target of 10 countries by the end of 2026. The founding team comes from Hepsiburada (NASDAQ: HEPS), Modanisa and top-tier strategy consulting (Monitor Deloitte, Oliver Wyman, OC&C). Headquartered in Istanbul, with an R&D office at Kocaeli Technopark and a tech hub in Kosovo.

We are early-stage. These are founding-team-era hires, and we treat them that way.

The Role

You will sit with the people running the company, move between commercial and operations depending on what the week demands, and own real work from the start.

You will work directly with the CEO and the commercial and operations leads. If something is broken or unbuilt, you are expected to fix it — not to escalate it and wait.

Be clear-eyed about one thing: a real share of this job is unglamorous. Catalogs, data entry, quality checks, chasing a stuck shipment. That is what a cross-border operation actually looks like, and everyone here does it — including the founders. If that offends you, this is the wrong role. If it does not, you get scope and access almost no other internship in Istanbul offers.

We are hiring a very small number of people for this. We would rather leave the seat empty than fill it with the wrong person.

What You Will Do

•      Marketplace marketing and merchandising:run campaigns, promotions, coupons and content directly in partner panels such as Namshi, Noon and Amazon. You will pull levers that move revenue and see the effect within days.

•      Product data and marketplace operations:product matching, category mapping and content alignment through our AI engine — including hands-on data entry and quality control. It is the operational backbone of the business and the fastest way to understand it from the inside.

•      Order, logistics and returns flow: track daily order flows, shipment statuses and exceptions with sellers and carriers, and chase down the cross-border shipment and return cases that stall.

•      Market and category analysis: size categories and countries, benchmark competitors and marketplace fees, and turn it into a recommendation the team can act on. Good analysis changes what we do next.

•      Commercial support: pricing analyses, sales reporting, seller research and pitch materials for the business development team.

•      Whatever the week demands: in a team our size, the most valuable people do not draw borders around a job description.

Who You Are

•      Top-tier university, 4th year. Final-year students at Turkey’s leading universities or strong international programs — engineering, economics, business, or anything else if you can make the case. Exceptional 3rd-year students considered.

•      Fluent English. Non-negotiable. Our marketplaces, partners and documentation run in English. You should be able to write a partner email and hold a call without thinking about it.

•      Analytical by instinct. If you write a VLOOKUP without Googling it you are ahead of most applicants — but more importantly, you can go from a messy dataset to a defensible recommendation.

•      A doer, not a watcher. You see something that needs doing and do it. This is the single trait that separates the interns who get full-time offers from those who do not.

•      Commercially curious. You want to understand why a business works, not just execute the task in front of you.

•      No task is beneath you. Some days the highest-value thing you can do is clean a 4,000-row catalog. The people who do that well, and then tell us how to stop having to do it, are the ones who get the full-time offer.

•      Detail-obsessed and persistent. The work spans countries, platforms and partners at once. Sloppiness here is expensive and someone always pays for it.

•      Available and present. Minimum 3 full days per week, in the office, in Istanbul. On the days you work you are here and focused, not splitting attention across three other commitments.

Nice to Have

•      Prior internship at a startup, consultancy, investment firm or fast-growing e-commerce company.

•      Any exposure to e-commerce or marketplaces — including selling on Amazon, Etsy or Trendyol yourself. Personal experience counts.

•      Something you built, launched, ran or organized on your own initiative. Tell us about it.

Timing and Terms

•      Start: mid-September 2026, October 1 at the latest.

•      Duration: a fixed 3 months, extended by a further 3 months on mutual fit — through the end of the year.

•      Then: strong performers receive a full-time offer at year-end. This is the primary reason the role exists — we are recruiting future team members, not seasonal help.

•      Schedule: minimum 3 full days per week in the office, 4 or 5 if your class schedule allows. Paid.

•      Location: Seba Office Boulevard, Ayazağa Mah., Sarıyer, Istanbul.

What You Get

•      Direct access to the founding team. You will work alongside people who have scaled cross-border operations across 30+ marketplaces and 100+ countries, and built businesses to $200M+ GMV.

•      Scope you will not get anywhere else at your age.At a large company you get a slice of a slice. Here you get commercial, operations, logistics, tech and strategy in the same week — the fastest way to find out what you are actually good at.

•      A real reference. If you perform, you leave with a reference that names specific things you did — not "attended meetings and was punctual."

How to Apply

Apply via LinkedIn, or send your CV to hr@globalinkai.com with the subject line: "Founding Team Intern — [Your Name]".

In your email, answer one question in 3–4 sentences: which country should Globalink enter next, and why? No research required and there is no right answer — we want to see how you think. Applications without an answer will not be reviewed.
