Financial Controlling Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controlling Specialist to oversee monthly closing, financial reporting, and budget control processes for the organization. This role ensures accurate financial analysis, cost optimization, and reliable reporting to support data-driven decision-making in a fast-paced retail environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• 1–3 years of experience in financial controlling, FP&A, or accounting
• Solid understanding of core accounting and financial reporting principles
• Basic knowledge of budgeting and forecasting processes
• Hands-on experience with variance analysis and cost controlling
• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Power BI or similar reporting tools is a plus
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
• A collaborative team player with good communication skills
• Business-level English proficiency

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reviewing and executing the monthly closing process
• Preparing month-end and year-end closing reports
• Controlling financial accuracy and analysing profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash reports
• Analysing product and other cost optimizations
• Collaborating with the finance team to enhance data accuracy and accessibility
• Supporting the year-end audit process by providing accurate financial data to external auditors
• Preparing and maintaining standardized financial reports
• Supporting annual budget preparation and the ongoing review of performance (forecasts and actuals) against budget
• Identifying and researching variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses; proactively identifying opportunities for improvement
• Monitoring and reporting on cost center expenses, ensuring accuracy and alignment with budget targets
• Tracking and controlling Opex and Capex spending against approved budgets, flagging deviations in a timely manner
• Performing ERP-based data validation and reconciliation to ensure integrity of financial records
• Performing ad-hoc business analyses and controls as requested by management
