ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ENGLISH TEACHER

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

To implement Ozel Izmir SEV English Department’s agreed instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.

To fully understand, embrace and implement ISEV’s mission, vision, goals, and motto as the drivers for the student learning objectives. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

·         A minimum of five years of teaching experience in the field of certification

·         BA in English 

 Required qualifications:

·         Knowledge in current instructional methodologies, “student-centered” classrooms, curriculum development and evaluation, differentiated instruction and student assessment 

·         Demonstrated ability to integrate technology, ESL/EFL teaching strategies, and research-based formative/summative assessment into the learning environment/experience

·         Well-rounded ability to provide quality instruction in all areas of the English language arts with a special emphasis on reading and writing literacy, literature, speaking and use of language.

·         Experience teaching English using Aero English Language Arts and US Common Core Curriculum framework standards and performance indicators and Common European Framework for Languages (CEFR) guidelines.

·         Demonstrated commitment to Global Citizenship, excellence in teaching with high standards, application of differentiated learning with an international and multicultural perspective

·         Flexible and an engaging, collaborative personality,

·         Ability to model learning for colleagues and students,

·         Ability to motivate and inspire the team

·         Great interpersonal relationship skills, 

·         Excellent multi-tasking, problem-solving and time-management skills,

·         Outstanding communication skills (oral and written)

·         Dynamic and enthusiastic, 

·         Open to learning new areas and willingness to grow,

·         Genuine team player with strong organizational and technology skills
