ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for Supply Chain Engineer - Energy Storage Systems for ourAksa BESS company which is located in Istanbul

WHAT MUST YOU HAVE (GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS)

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management within the energy, renewable energy, power generation, electrical, or EPC sectors.
• Knowledge of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), solar energy, electrical equipment, or related technologies is preferred.
• Experience in supplier evaluation, sourcing, contract management, and commercial negotiations.
• Ability to review technical specifications, drawings, BOMs, and project documentation.
• Strong analytical and cost management skills with a focus on cost optimization.
• Good communication and coordination skills to work effectively with suppliers, project teams, and other stakeholders.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or similar procurement management software.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required.

WHAT WILL YOU DO (JOB DESCRIPTIONS)

• Manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for BESS projects.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with local and international suppliers.
• Review purchase requests, technical specifications, BOMs, and project requirements to ensure accurate procurement activities.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations from both technical and commercial perspectives and prepare comparison reports.
• Conduct cost analyses and support cost optimization initiatives while maintaining project quality requirements.
• Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, payment terms, and technical scope with suppliers.
• Monitor purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery according to project schedules.
• Work closely with project, engineering, logistics, and warehouse teams to support project execution and material availability.
• Monitor supplier performance regarding quality, cost, and delivery and support continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain procurement records in company systems and conduct supplier visits, audits, and technical evaluations when required.
