QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Chef De Cuisine (Italian Cuisine), you will work in luxury restaurant at Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus Istanbul, Hotel.


Requirements

Experienced in any of the Grill Chef, Antipasti, Pasta Chef, Pizza Chef, Baker

Globally-recognized culinary qualification.

Degree holder in Hotel and Catering Management an advantage

10 years experience in relevant position

4 years of supervisory experience

Reading, writing and oral proficiency in both the English and Turkish languages,

Good kitchen organization skills with excellent knife and food prep knowledge and be willing to transfer this knowledge to fellow team members 

A good communicator with solid organizational ability and aware of time management

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Technical knowledge and job skills training including effective use of provided materials.

Creativity and innovation, striving for continuous improvement

Foster positive thinking and motivation within department by giving active assistance and advice on more effective ways of running the Italian cuisine.

Check at all time on the quality of the ingredients and of the end products to achieve the maximum guest satisfaction on this level. Make sure that all products meet the preset standards, the preordained portion size, and that all staffs follow the proper procedure and recipes

To liaise with the Training Manager on departmental training needs

Support company's philosophy and company culture through the use of Legendary

Support Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus istanbul philosophy and company culture through the use of Legendary Quality Experiences on a daily basis to ensure Guest Satisfaction and the achievement of the Group Mission Statement

To be aware of, and comply with Food Hygiene Standards

Strictly adhere to all Policy & Procedure existing in the hotel

To ensure any accidents to colleagues, guests or visitors are reported in accordance with hotel procedures.

More than 10 years of experience
