Maxxen Energy AG, operating in Energy Storage and Renewable Energy, is looking for a Project Manager to be assigned within our PMO Department. This role acts as Maxxen’s control point for the execution of BESS product supply and EPC orders — overseeing contractors and suppliers against contractual, schedule, budget, and quality commitments, and owning the customer relationship through to project close-out and payment collection.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably in Industrial, or Electric, or Electronics).
• Minimum 10 years of professional site/project experience and ideally minimum 5 years of experience in the Renewables/BESS sector.
• Proven experience managing EPC or supply contracts, including claims, variations, and milestone-based payment structures — not just site execution alone.
• Strong commercial and contractual acumen; comfortable reading and applying EPC/supply contract clauses (LDs, milestones, retention, warranty).
• Ability to coordinate Maxxen's domestic and international BESS project sites and contractor/supplier performance.
• Working knowledge of project controls tools (e.g., MS Project/Primavera, KPI/EVM reporting).
• Strong analytical thinking, crisis management, and proactive, goal-focused communication skills.
• Advanced level of English and German.
• No restrictions on domestic or international travel; active driver.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Project Manager will be assigned to Maxxen's international BESS projects, with responsibility split across two areas:

1. Contract & Commercial Control

• Act as Maxxen's control point on contract compliance for both product supply and EPC orders, checking contractor and supplier activity against contractual obligations.
• Own the primary customer relationship through project execution, managing expectations and acting as the main point of contact for contractual and commercial matters.
• Manage the main EPC/supply contract lifecycle: milestones, variations/change orders, claims, and liquidated damages exposure.
• Manage contractual processes with subcontractor firms, including their progress payment and handover processes.
• Follow up invoicing and drive payment collection from customers, tied to milestone certification and contractual triggers.
• Own the project risk register and issue log; escalate deviations and risks to PMO leadership with recommended mitigations.
• Provide regular, structured project and contract-status reports to senior management.
• Ensure full familiarity with applicable laws, regulations, and standards relevant to BESS/EPC execution in each jurisdiction.

2. Execution & Site Coordination

• Assume full responsibility for all project-related processes and ensure progress follows the defined roadmap.
• Monitor manufacturing and implementation phases of all projects, including DC, LV, and MV systems.
• Manage the project schedule in line with budget and quality requirements, using project controls tools and KPI reporting.
• Ensure coordination between subcontractors, suppliers, and all project stakeholders.
• Ensure interdepartmental information flow and coordination across commercial, technical, and legal functions.
• Competently use AutoCAD and MS Office software.
