Dairy Factory Production Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Production Manager to oversee all aspects of our dairy production operations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of dairy production management according to international standards, ensuring that our processes meet quality and safety regulations. The Production Manager will be responsible for managing production schedules, overseeing equipment maintenance, and leading a team to achieve optimal production efficiency.
Key responsibilities:
Set up, oversee and manage operation of dairy milk equipment and infrastructure
in accordance with established guidelines
• Performs proper adjustments to maintain safety, quality, and production
standards
• Set up production requirements as well as production schedule, in order to meet
demands and targets.
• Follows international standard operating procedures to ensure products meet
specifications
• Creates and oversees accurate production, reporting and recordkeeping systems.
• Trains, guides and orients all relevant line managers and staff with production
methods.
• Works cross-departmentally with all senior managers to enable smooth
production flow, product packaging, storing and dispatching.
• Observes and enforces all plant safety, quality, hygiene and production policies.
• Ensure the appropriate staff training and record keeping is undertaken.
• Oversees the correct use of appropriate safety gear and equipment
• Manages, plans and schedules the daily operations of the production team
• Works in conjunction with the Dairy product and Quality assurance supervisor in
maintaining practices in the plant that assures optimal product quality and safety.
• In charge of producing product line formulas, overseeing their correct
implementation during the production process and training relevant staff to
conduct the procedures.
• Maintain and ensure optimal level of production
• Supervise production planning and develop policies and procedures for all sub-
departments to enhance performance.
• In charge of creating all in-house production related guidelines, rules and best
practice procedures.
Key requirements:
• The successful candidate must have at the minimum a Bachelor's degree in
either chemical engineering, food engineering, agricultural or agro-food
engineering or in similar/equivalent fields.
• Strong command in English is strongly preferable.
• Minimum of 10 years' continuous work experience in similar roles and
responsibilities with a proven track record and all reference details of prior
employers available.
• Ability to relocate and live and work abroad for extended period of time.
- In-depth knowledge of dairy processing equipment and production techniques.
- Familiarity with international dairy production standards and regulations.
- Strong expertise in employee management, discipline, and team leadership.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
