Job Introduction

The Metod Engineer is responsible for conducting method and process improvement activities to ensure efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective production. This role focuses on process design, automation, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing practices, while working closely with cross-functional teams to support production excellence.

In this position, you will work at our Sivas factory, which was acquired by Volex in 2023. Murat Ticaret is a leading manufacturer of cable harnesses and battery cables designed for off-road vehicles and specialty vehicles. Murat Ticaret currently employs approximately 4,000 people at various production facilities across Turkey.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct method and process improvement activities,
• Identify and source new suppliers for equipment and molds,
• Decide on equipment and production methods to ensure high-quality products,
• Prepare workflow and layout plans considering production operation costs,
• Identify Muda, Mura, and Muri, and lead improvement activities in production,
• Design new fixtures and jigs to enable simple and ergonomic working conditions,
• Improve material and product traceability systems,
• Actively participate in MRP integration and monitor production feedback,
• Prepare standard setups for SMED activities,
• Work collaboratively with maintenance teams on improvement activities,
• Lead and implement automation systems,
• Prepare machine and process technical specifications,
• Carry out warehouse and raw material flow improvement activities,
• Be responsible for workplace organization and order,
• Act as the P-FMEA owner,
• Ensure collection and implementation of all learnings and Yokoten (horizontal deployment),
• Conduct OEE and OA improvement activities,

Requirements and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering,
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience (wire harness experience is an asset),
• Knowledge of process design,
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks,
• Basic knowledge of TPS (Toyota Production System); TPS experience is a plus,
• Basic knowledge of automation,
• Experience in project planning,
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 and a strong quality vision,
• Basic knowledge of equipment and automation systems,
• P-FMEA experience.
