QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Gökkuşağı Koleji, İSTANBUL (Ataşehir, Bahçelievler, Bahçeşehir, Beylikdüzü), ANKARA (Alacaatli), İZMİR (Çiğli), ANTALYA (Muratpaşa) ve BURSA (Özlüce) kampüslerinde 2024-2025 akademik yılında göreve başlayıp ekibine güç katacak, (tercihen iletişim düzeyinde İngilizce konuşabilen), iletişim gücü yüksek, sabırlı ve disiplinli, öğrencilerine çocuk oldukları için sevgi, yarın büyüyeceği için saygı duyan REHBERLİK ve PSİKOLOJİK DANIŞMANLAR arıyor.

Adayların Rehberlik ve Psikolojik Danışmanlık veya Psikoloji bölümlerinden mezun olmaları ve pedagojik formasyon sertifikasına sahip olmaları gerekir.

Sorumluluklar

  • Öğrencinin gelişimi ile ilgili olarak yönetici, öğretmen ve velilerle düzenli iletişim kurma
  • Ekip içerisinde iş birliğini sağlama
  • Öğrencilerin tanınmasına yönelik çeşitli testler envanterler uygulama
  • Öğrencilerin beceri ve güçlü alanlarına uygun akademik plan oluşturma
  • Kriz yönetimi ve önleme programları uygulama
  • Güven ve saygıya dayalı bir ilişki kurma
  • Öğrencilerin sınıf içi performanslarını analiz etme
  • Başarı stratejilerinin uygulanmasında öğrencilere yardım etme
  • Sınıf-içi rehberlik çalışmalarını yürütme
  • Sorunları, ihtiyaçları ve zorlukları belirlemek amacıyla veri toplama ve verileri analiz etme
  • Aylık ve haftalık bültenler hazırlama
  • Lise-üniversite hazırlığı, takibi ve sınav sistemi
  • Üniversite bağlantıları kurma ve geziler organize etme; tercih danışmanlığı yapma
  • Haftalık ve veya aylık rehberlik bültenleri hazırlama

 

WE’RE HIRING!

We are seeking suitably qualified individuals to join us as full time SCHOOL COUNSELLORS who are fluent in English, at ISTANBUL (Bahcelievler, Bahcesehir, Beylikduzu, Atasehir), IZMIR (Cigli), BURSA (Ozluce), ANTALYA(Muratpasa) and ANKARA (Alacaatli) campuses for the academic year 2024-2025. The expected time to join the team is late August 2024 or early September 2024.

 Virtual interviews offered to eligible qualified candidates who reside outside the city or country for the position. (The interviews-agreements should be completed by mid-July with the overseas applicants as the official workpermit processes takes about 2 months).

School counselors are certified/licensed educators who improve success for ALL students by implementing a comprehensive school counselling program. School counselors will work to maximize student success, promoting access and equity for all students. As vital members of the school leadership team, school counselors create a school culture of success for all. 

  • Helps all students and applies academic achievement strategies
  • Manages emotions and applies interpersonal skills
  • Assists with college applications and scholarships; provides guidance university Entrance Exam 
  • Plans and sets goals for individual students; conducts individual counselling services in accordance with the principles and standards of the field.
  • Creates school counselling programs based on standards
  • Collaborates with families/teachers/ administrators/ community for student success; Improves parent/teacher relationships
  • Supports students at individual education plan; Has student-focused meetings
  • Analyzes data to identify student issues, needs and challenges 
  • Acts as a systems change agent to improve equity and access, achievement and opportunities for all students 
  • Delivers developmentally appropriate activities and services directly to students or indirectly for students as a result of the school counselor’s interaction with others. 
  • Self–assesses their own mindsets and behaviors to inform their professional development 
  • Listens to students’ concerns about academic, emotional or social problems
  • Helps students process their problems and plan goals and action
  • Mediates conflict between students and teachers
  • Facilitates addiction prevention programs
  • Refers students to psychologists and other mental health resources
  • Works on academic boards to improve learning conditions
  • Ensures the appropriate organization of the school counselling office, prepares the school's annual general counselling and creativity activity programs (CAP), and ensures their implementation.
  • Guides classroom teachers in the implementation of the relevant part of the counselling program.
  • Plans, schedules, and implements or guides the implementation of necessary educational and vocational guidance activities based on the school's type and characteristics.
  • Conducts activities aimed at understanding individuals for educational, vocational, and individual counselling efforts.
  • Provides psychological counselling within the scope of individual counselling services if appropriately qualified.
  • Applies educational and vocational counselling activities in classrooms and implements those requiring specialized knowledge and skills in counselling and psychological counselling.
  • Conducts research on counselling and psychological counselling services within the school, ensuring the utilization of their outcomes.
  • Prepares an assessment report in collaboration with the class advisor, parents, the student, and the school administration, containing the student's development throughout the entire education process in the school, essential features for guidance, and recommendations. Places the original report in the student's development file and provides a copy to the student or their parents.
  • Conducts research on placing elective courses in the educational institution, considering environmental conditions, school facilities, teacher numbers, and expertise. Communicates their views on the programs to be conducted by the subject teachers.
  • Maintains student development files and other necessary records. Reviews the development files of students coming from lower educational levels or transferred to the school, collaborating with the class advisor for evaluation.
  • Participates in preparing and developing assessment tools, documents, and resources to be used
  • Informs and collaborates with subject teachers and class advisors on directing students towards educational fields based on their interests, talents, and academic achievements.
  • Organizes events such as meetings, conferences, and panels suitable for the service area for parents, students, class advisor teachers, and other school staff.
  • Participates in commissions and meetings at the school, providing necessary information and expressing opinions.
  • Gathers the teachers' council, provides necessary explanations, and gets the class advisors to prepare counselling plans.
  • Collaborates with the celebration committee in preparing the implementation of holidays and commemorative events.
  • Reviews the school's decisions related to the School Discipline Board, identifies student problems, and takes measures for specific and general issues.
  • Conducts occasional inspections within the institution, examining the cleanliness, order, and maintenance of school premises and other facilities, and reports to the school administration in case of unauthorized graffiti or markings by students on walls or floors.
  • Creates an end-of year report for the counselling services
