Position Summary

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain the server, cloud, and network infrastructure that supports our global business operations. You will manage enterprise systems across on-premises and cloud environments, drive automation and standardization, and serve as an escalation point for complex infrastructure issues. This is a hands-on role for an engineer with a solid foundation in Windows/Linux administration, virtualization, and cloud platforms who wants to grow in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

•       Design, deploy, and maintain physical and virtual server infrastructure (Windows Server, Linux, VMware/Hyper-V) across data center and cloud environments.

•       Administer and optimize cloud infrastructure (Azure and/or AWS), including compute, storage, networking, and identity services.

•       Manage Active Directory, Entra ID, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and certificate services.

•       Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions; perform regular DR testing.

•       Monitor system health, capacity, and performance; proactively identify and remediate issues before they impact the business.

•       Automate routine tasks and deployments using PowerShell, Bash, or Python; contribute to infrastructure-as-code practices (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).

•       Apply security patches and hardening standards; partner with the security team on vulnerability remediation and compliance initiatives.

•       Serve as Tier 3 escalation for infrastructure incidents; perform root cause analysis and document resolutions.

•       Plan and execute infrastructure projects, including migrations, upgrades, and new system rollouts.

•       Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, and operational procedures.

•       Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support of critical systems.

Required Qualifications

•       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

•       3–5 years of experience in systems engineering or senior systems administration roles.

•       Strong proficiency with Windows Server and at least working knowledge of Linux administration.

•       Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere or Hyper-V).

•       Experience administering cloud services in Azure or AWS.

•       Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, load balancing).

•       Scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

•       Experience with enterprise backup and monitoring tools.

•       Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to manage priorities across multiple projects.

•       Clear written and verbal communication skills, including documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

•       Certifications such as Microsoft AZ-104, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, VCP, or CompTIA Network+/Security+.

•       Experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management (Terraform, Ansible).

•       Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

•       Experience supporting a global, multi-site enterprise environment.

•       Exposure to ITIL practices and change management processes.
