We are looking for a continuity and compliance of mining operations a Head of Mining Operations to act as the single operational and regulatory owner vis a vis authorities, auditors, and internal stakeholders.

This role has fully accountable for the safe, compliant, and cost-effective operation of all mining activities in Eskişehir, including exploration, extraction, beneficiation related mining interfaces, regulatory compliance, and third-party coordination.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure full compliance with legal and internal HSE rules, acting as site level owner for safe mining execution
  • Own implementation and follow up of mine stability audits, geotechnical action plans, and risk mitigation measures
  • Plan, execute, and control daily mining activities (open pit), ensuring delivery of raw material in line with plant demand and quality requirements as defined with Operations and Geology
  • Ensure alignment between mining output, downstream beneficiation capacity constraints, and downstream operations
  • Manage mining contractors and service providers, including cost, performance, and safety compliance
  • Act as primary interface to authorities for all mining related matters
  • Own mining licenses, permits, GSM, operating activity reports, royalty declarations, and statutory submissions
  • Own mining cost structure, unit cost drivers, and variance explanations together with Finance
  • Provide validated inputs for standard costing and SAP master data affecting mining
  • Ensure audit ready documentation
  • Own all mining related software, licenses, access rights, and data continuity
  • Lead and develop the mining team


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in mining operations, preferably open pit industrial minerals
  • Strong knowledge of mining licenses, royalties, and regulatory bodies and geotechnical risk and stability management
  • Knowledge of cost control & audit environments
  • Knowledge of contractor and stakeholder management
  • Digital literacy (mine planning tools, SAP interfaces, reporting systems)
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
  • Fluent/Proficient in English and Turkish
