Qualification

Our successful Database & Storage Manager candidate will have duties such as: 

·       Bachelors degree in Computer, Electronics Engineering or relevant fields,

·       10+ years of experience database administering,

·       Minimum 3 years of managing/leading a Team

·       Strong experience with at least 2 of Opensource RDBMS and NoSql databases like MySQL,Posgresql, MongoDB, Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Couchbase, etc..

·       Experience with replication, failover and disaster recovery in a globally distributed environment,

·       Build, scale, and administer database (MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, ElasticSearch),

·       Infrastructure with a focus on the performance, availability and growth needs of the company,

·       Improve and optimize database administration and management with coding and automation,

·       Familiar with Big Data Technologies such as Hadoop, HDFS, Sentry, Kafka, Impala, Hue, Hive, ZooKeeper

·       Familiar with storage solutions, FC, ISCSI, SAN fabrics, and network attached storage (NAS)

·       Good knowledge of Phyton Scripting ability to write automation scripts from scratch as well as modifying existing scripts,

·       Familiar with microservices architecture concepts,

·       Fluent in English,

·       Detail oriented, well organized work skills,

·       Multitasking, time and stress management,

·       Strong ability to identify, prioritize and solve problems,

·       Passionate about learning, new technologies, open source technologies.

Job Description

·       Leading teams of Database and Storage Administrators,

·       Forecasting, planning, capacity arrangement and scaling of database & storage systems,

·       Experience with working with data center migrations, hardware installations, firmware upgrades, troubleshooting issues etc.,

·       Design and implement monitoring systems and procedures for 7/24 uptime requirements of critical systems,

·       Analyze and optimize performance of systems, eliminate bottlenecks, plan for capacity upgrades,

·       Perform data integrity checks and harden security of systems along with audits and procedures,

·       Setting and implementing backup and disaster recovery strategy,

·       Focus on performance, throughput and latency to build and maintain database an storage architecture
