Founded in 2007 as a subsidiary of KOLOĞLU HOLDING, SEFINE is one of the few shipyards in Turkey capable of simultaneously delivering new shipbuilding, military projects, ship repair and maintenance, ship conversion services, and large-scale steel structure projects. It offers high-quality and high-capacity ship repair, maintenance, and conversion services with the region's largest dry dock, 90,000 DWT Post-Panamax capacity and two floating docks with lifting capacities of 40,000 tons and 75,000 tons respectively.

We are strengthening our Budgeting & Reporting function to support financial discipline, controlling and management decision-making across the organization. This is not a traditional budgeting and reporting role.The position sits at the intersection of budgeting, controlling and financial insight, with a strong focus on variance intelligence, system-driven controls and decision support rather than routine report production.

In this role we are seeking for “Budget & Reporting Senior Specialist” to join our Budgeting & Reporting team with following qualifications;

 Responsibilities;

• Preparing and analyzing budget vs. actual variances with a clear focus on drivers, risks and root causes
• Contributing to management reporting by translating financial data into clear, actionable insights for decision-making
• Preparing and maintaining controlling views for project costs, OPEX, CAPEX, personnel costs and inventory movements to prevent timing and classification mismatches
• Supporting IFRS/TFRS financial statements, consolidation and intercompany reconciliation, with the goal of progressively taking ownership of these processes over time
• Developing expertise in over-time (percentage-of-completion / IFRS 15) revenue recognition for shipbuilding projects, including cost-to-complete and change-order effects (on-the-job exposure provided)
• Ensuring accuracy and discipline in period-end closing through accrual reviews, cut-off logic and reconciliations
• Driving the continuous improvement of reporting tools, dashboards and system-driven finance processes (Power Query, Power BI, SQL)
• Contributing to AI-supported finance workflows by reviewing and challenging insights generated by internal finance agents, helping evolve an exception-based, system-driven controlling model

Qualifications;

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related fields
• Minimum 5 years of experience in budgeting, financial reporting or controlling (Big4 / audit experience is a strong plus)
• Solid, hands-on IFRS knowledge (this is a core requirement)
• Experience with or exposure to consolidation and intercompany reconciliation
• Familiarity with revenue recognition (IFRS 15) and/or project / contract accounting is an asset; shipyard-specific project accounting will be developed on the job
• Strong command of period-end closing, including accruals and cut-off logic
• CPA (SMMM) qualification, completed or in progress, is a plus
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and the ability to question and challenge numbers
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power Query, Power BI or SQL is a strong plus
• Good communication skills and the ability to work across disciplines
• Willingness to work in a system-oriented, automation-driven finance environment
• Strong command of both written and spoken English
• Live or willingness to live in Yalova, Kocaeli or Istanbul (Anatolian Side)
