Accounting Manager

We are looking for an accounting manager for our established, export oriented manufacturing organization. Our company is one of the major players in its field both domestically and internationally. The work place is in Tuzla / Gebze region and candidates living close to the area will have an advantage. 

The role will cover the main entity and several local and overseas subsidiaries. He/she will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely accounting processes, statutory compliance, financial closing, audit coordination, leading the accounting team and being proactively involved in day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional accounting experience, including experience as a manager / leadership role.
• Having a CPA (SMMM) qualification.
• Strong knowledge of Turkish accounting standards, cost accounting, tax legislation and statutory reporting requirements along with IFRS knowledge.
• Well experienced in month-end/year-end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, tax declarations and statutory reporting.
• Experience in Turkish governmental investment incentive processes and R&D incentive schemes.
• Good command of ERP programmes, preferably MS Dynamics along with advanced MS Excel skills.
• Experience managing external audit processes and setting up internal control frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proven team management and leadership experience.
• Hands-on, detail-oriented and ready to be actively involved in day-to-day accounting operations.
• Good command of English - minimum B2 level.
• Previous experience in a top tier audit firm is preferred.
• Previous experience in export oriented major companies is an advantage.
