Core Activities

  • To assist Supervisors to achieve the yearly food revenue target
  • To assist  Supervisor to achieve the budget of food cost
  • Co-operate and help his superior the project service opportunities in order to increase revenue
  • Participate in preparation of creative menu in accordance to the competitors; follow the standard recipes at all time
  • To attend training sessions and meetings when required to operate in line with the training of information received
  • To follow high standard of personal & food hygiene at all time
  • To assist Supervisor in control the departmental expense budget through the year
  • To ensure that there is no over production
  • Ensure that the hotel’s cost control policies and procedures are followed (by minimizing left-over or spoilage and improve utilization of leftover)
  • To follow and prepare the menu mise en plus according the standard recipe
  • Dispenses food only with proper guest checks, inter kitchen transfer or kitchen requisition 
  • Any other work assigned by the Executive Chef


Competencies

  • Recognized culinary education or proven apprentice ship program
  • Basic spoken English required
  • Enthusiastic, passionate, flexible, highly committed with a desire to learn
  • Two years cooking experience 
  • Sight needed for safety in working around sharp blades of knives on a very frequent basis
