QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Lifeguard

Swissotel Resort, Bodrum Beach lies directly on the waterfront in Turgutreis, approximately 20 km from the centre of Bodrum, a very popular destination as it offers ideal conditions for water sports, culture and Aegean relaxation.
The main two-storey hotel of Swissotel Resort, Bodrum Beach comprises 66 rooms and suites, with minimum 40 m² per room.
The restaurants and bars are places of entertainment, where the ambience runs from formal to casual and dishes are prepared with the best local products.
The Lifeguard will contribute to the performance of the hotel by assisting in the daily operational requirements of the pool facilities and to provide accurate lifesaving assistance in the hotel area. He/She will be assisting guests’ enquiries, complaints and setting up related to pool any equipment requirements.
Summary of Responsibilities:
We are looking for a well organized and creative candidate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is able to display a “passion for perfection” and work in a dynamic environment. In addition, the candidate should possess:
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Fluent writing, reading and speking in Englih
• Ideally a minimum of one to two years in a similar role
• Must have national pool; lifeguard qualification
• Certificate in first aid, swimming etc.

Summary of Responsibilities:
- Assists and maintains accurate and up to date records of all checklists and relevant administration documents.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work surrounding the pool’, e.g. pool vacuuming, brushing, deep cleaning, mort cleaning etc.
- Assists and maintains up to date reports from the plant operator related water treatments.
- Attends to any emergency drills as and when required.
- Ensures that lifesaving and safety equipment is available and in good working condition at all times.
- Keeps proper storage of all equipment in the area of assignment
- Oversees and ensures proper maintenance of equipment in the area of assignment.
- Supports the sports animators as per the leisure activity program and when required.
- Follows procedures of adherence of safety standards, handling equipment or chemicals supplied and safe exercise practices.
- Keeps a vigilant eye on all swimming pools to ensure that all rules and regulation are strictly adhered to.
- Rescues persons in difficulty in the water and performance first aid and CPR as required
- Ensures respiratory and rescue equipment is in good working order at all times and that the first aid box is up to date.
- Ensures the cleanliness of poolside furniture, sun loungers tables, chairs and umbrellas
- Keeps up to date with the latest life-saving techniques and new products in the market.
- Attends all hotel training as required
- Is able to work in a multicultural environment.
