Tarsus American College

Since its establishment in 1888, Tarsus American College has been a distinguished institution offering democratic and scientific education to Turkish students, and has raised generations of intellectuals and leaders who have served the Turkish society in many areas including industry, education, government and economics.

TAC is a pioneering school in Turkey with its long established history, offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) since 2004. It was also accredited by the CIS (Council of International Schools) in 2007, validating that the school meets worldwide educational standards.

With the importance it attaches to academic achievements, arts and sports, Tarsus American College raises individuals who make a difference locally and internationally. At TAC, we place importance on extracurricular activities, as much as on in-class activities, towards the personal development of our students. To prepare students for a strong social life, our club activities include MUN, ISTA, STEM, TAC LIVE, ECHO etc. At TAC, community service is an integral part of the school culture. Students develop their social skills including respect for others, leadership and solidarity by regularly taking part in community services projects.

• PRE-REQUISITES FOR APPLICANTS

  • Having graduated from the relevant programs of universities,
  • Having completed a teacher training program,
  • At least five years of experience in their field,
  • Candidates with a minimum 7.5 score in academic IELTS test,
  • Personal pursuit of self-improvement and the goal of excelling in their field of expertise, enjoying being productive,
  • Being up-to-date with and a strong user of educational technologies,
  • Have the potential for preparing students for the careers of the future through innovative educational practices,
  • Strong interpersonal relationships, communication and teamwork skills,
  • Have an enthusiasm for learning, high motivation and self-confidence,
  • For male candidates, having completed their military service.
