Turkiye Technology Center is looking for “NDT Engineer” and offering them the opportunity to work with state-of-art technologies and applications, specializing in aircraft and industrial engine repair processes, in a technology base located in Gebze, Kocaeli which is being established by General Electric Aviation, GE MTC (General Electric Marmara Technology Center) and  TEI (Tusaş Engine Industries, Inc.). 

Expected qualification, requirements and desired characteristics from candidates are as below: 

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Materials, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university or college
• Masters degree in engineering is a plus
• Current or recent NAS410 / EN4179 Level 1 or 2 certification in Ultrasonic Testing  and Fluorescent Penetrant Testing
• Current or recent NAS410 / EN4179 Level 1 or Level 2 in Radiography and/or Eddy Current is a plus
• A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in an engineering position
• Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Commitment to customer service
• High level of written and oral communication skills in English.
• Proficient in use of Microsoft office tools
• Knowledge on statistical analysis tools. 6 Sigma Greenbelt is a plus
• Knowledge on CAD programs (Unigraphics or other)
• No military obligation for male candidates

Desired Characteristics

• Prior experience in a non-destructive testing environment
• Prior knowledge of Ultrasonic testing/Fluorescent penetrant inspection and aviation specification requirements
• Ability to operate NDT processes in aviation industry
• Demonstrated team-working capabilities
• Proven self-starter and independent worker who can work with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work with global, distributed teams to achieve results
• Prior manufacturing knowledge regarding testing and quality
• In-depth understanding of engineering technology and tools
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

The essential responsibilities of this position are:

• Serve as process engineer for NDT development and implementation projects 
• Plan and execute NDT lab calibrations and tests
• Work with GE Aerospace, Aviation Inspection Solutions
• Support team related issues/project with design, materials, repair engineer groups and comply with aviation quality standards for part conformance
• Support field related issues/projects, root cause and corrective actions at NDT suppliers including those resulting in a quality escape
• Become a Certifying Agent and Auditor in the area of NDT
• Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical and program requirements
• Execute and provide guidance for the analysis / evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirements
