Key accountabilities

 

• Is responsible for the hotel’s linen, guest laundry and staff uniforms, working in close collaboration with the outsourced laundry operator.
• Manages the quality, inventory, and upkeep of all the hotel’s linen, including F&B and SPA linen and uniforms. Ensures cleanliness before issuing, and manages any soiled, stained, or damaged linen.
• Manages the guest requests for laundry to the highest quality and service standards.
• Oversees the cleanliness and organization of all Laundry/Valet related areas. Implements and ensures the maintenance of the laundry, its policies, and procedures. Ensures safe work practices in liaison with engineering.
• Manages the entire linen operations (including uniforms), managing the RFID systems together with its software, RFID checks and their storage. Manages stock and storerooms, and plans for regular inventory control, and implements appropriate controls for requisitioning. Par levels meetings to take place post each inventory.
• Manages the relationship and the contract with the outsourced laundry company, holding regular meetings with meeting minutes, call to action and follow up, to ensure quality and to minimize discrepancies. Oversees all contracts for the laundry operations, such as chemical suppliers.
• Ensures productivity levels are met and understands the need to prudently manage utility/payroll costs within stipulated budgetary and forecasted requirements.

 

General requirements

 

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Laundry Manager within a Luxury Hotel environment.
• Working Knowledge of laundry Operations; Health & Hygiene. Qualification in HACCP and Safe Management of Chemicals. 
• Must possess excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills, be able to work well under pressure with a variety of people, handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to resolve issues with minimal consultation and naturally positive.
• Ability to deal with a high level of work demand and pressure and show flexibility as well as understanding of the expectations.
• Is innovative and a natural organiser, highly detailed and able to engage with guests.
• Strong people leader and trainer having prior experience managing diverse teams.
• Fluent English and Turkish communication proficiency.

The hotel is currently scheduled to open at early 2023.
