Project Expediting Engineer

We are looking for a "Senior Expediter (Project Expediting Engineer)" to be assigned to our factory in Kemalpaşa/İzmir, which operates in the iron & steel and metallurgy sector based in Switzerland.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical & Materials, or Industrial Engineering,
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in expediting or supply chain management within heavy industry, iron & steel plants, energy, or large-scale manufacturing projects,
• Advanced proficiency in English (written and spoken),
• Strong knowledge of technical drawing reading, manufacturing methods (welding, machining, assembly), and quality documentation (MTR, ITP, CoC),
• Good skills in MS Office (advanced Excel) and SAP/Oracle ERP systems,
• High flexibility for intensive domestic and international travel; holding a Class B driving license,
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving under pressure, and time management skills,
• Residing in or willing to relocate to İzmir.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring the manufacturing processes of ordered heavy industrial equipment both on-site (Field Expediting) and from the office (Desk Expediting),
• Identifying critical paths in the production schedule and developing expediting actions by anticipating potential delays,
• Coordinating the timely flow of engineering documents, raw material approvals, and sub-vendor components into production,
• Providing regular progress and risk assessment reports to Project Management, Procurement, and Quality Control teams,
• Ensuring that packing, loading, and logistics phases of completed products begin on time in line with contractual terms.
