Growth Lead — AI-Native Marketing


About Valo

Valo is building Turkey's first AI-native taxi hailing app. Users book rides by simply talking to a voice or text assistant — no menus, no forms, no friction. Our mission is to make urban mobility feel like talking to a capable human instead of clicking through screens.

We are a small, ambitious team that moves fast, iterates honestly, and cares deeply about building the right product.


The Role

Valo is a two-sided marketplace — riders on one side, drivers on the other. Neither side works without the other, and growing both in lockstep is the most important problem we need to solve.

Here is the twist: we are not hiring a marketing department. We are hiring one person who operates like one — with AI as their team.

As our Growth Lead, you will own every marketing and growth function at Valo, end-to-end, and you will run all of it through AI-powered workflows:

  • Own rider acquisition and activation — acquiring the right users, getting them to their first ride, and turning first rides into habits.
  • Own driver acquisition and retention — recruiting drivers to the platform and keeping them active and engaged.
  • Own the full marketing surface — performance marketing, lifecycle/CRM, content, social media, ASO, community, and brand communications. All of it. With AI doing the production work and you doing the thinking.
  • Build the AI marketing machine — automated workflows for ad creative generation, copy iteration at scale, competitive monitoring, reporting, and campaign optimization. Your output should look like a 5-person team's, because your tooling makes it possible.
  • Run the experimentation engine — designing, launching, and learning from growth experiments across the full funnel (acquisition, activation, retention, referral).
  • Build and optimize paid channels (Meta, Google, TikTok, YouTube) alongside organic and community-driven growth.
  • Set up the data, tracking, and A/B testing infrastructure needed to make confident decisions.

You will be Valo's first growth hire. There is no playbook — you will write it, and you will automate it.


What "AI-Native" Actually Means Here

This is not a "familiarity with ChatGPT" checkbox. We expect:

  • AI is your default execution layer. Ad creatives, copy variants, landing pages, social content, video assets, competitive research, campaign reports — produced through AI tools and workflows you build, not outsourced or done by hand.
  • You build workflows, not just prompts. Hands-on experience with automation platforms (n8n, Make, Zapier) or direct API/agent usage (Claude, GPT, Gemini APIs; Claude Code or similar) to chain AI steps into repeatable pipelines.
  • You use AI creative tooling in production — image generation (Midjourney, Flux, Imagen), video generation (Runway, Veo, Kling), voice (ElevenLabs) — and you know how to get on-brand, publishable output, not demos.
  • You measure AI output like any other channel. You know when generated content underperforms human-made, and you know where AI genuinely doesn't help. It's a lever, not a crutch.
  • You keep receipts. You save, version, and iterate on your own prompts, agents, and workflows — and you can show them to us in the interview.


Experience

  • 4+ years in growth marketing, performance marketing, or marketplace growth
  • Background in two-sided marketplaces (ride-hailing, food delivery, on-demand, e-commerce marketplaces) or consumer apps strongly preferred
  • Proven track record with measurable outcomes — ability to walk through specific wins with numbers (e.g., "reduced CAC from X to Y", "improved D7 retention by Z%")
  • Hands-on experience building and scaling campaigns on paid channels (Meta, Google, TikTok)
  • Demonstrable AI-driven marketing work — you will be asked to walk us through a real workflow you built and the results it produced
  • Proficient with analytics tools: GA4, Amplitude, or Mixpanel
  • Solid understanding of A/B test design and statistical significance
  • Familiarity with lifecycle marketing and CRM tools (Braze, Customer.io, OneSignal, or similar)
  • Ability to read and write basic SQL is a strong plus


Nice to Have

  • Experience scaling a consumer app from early stage to meaningful scale in Turkey
  • Light coding ability (Python/JS) — enough to glue APIs together or work with Claude Code
  • Community management experience (Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, Slack)
  • Exposure to voice-first or conversational UX products
  • Close collaboration with product management in previous roles

We practice what we preach. Part of our interview process is a live working session: you'll get a realistic Valo growth problem and access to AI tools, and we'll watch how you actually work — how you prompt, what you automate, what you check by hand, and how you reason about the output. Your portfolio of prompts, agents, and workflows counts as much as your CV.
