Wyser is the international company within Gi Group Holding in charge of searching for and selecting specialized middle and senior management.

We are looking for an "Engineering Director" for our partner specialized in high-end technology providing electrical system solutions, located inKocaeli.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience, with a strong track record of managing project-based operations.
• Experience in the maritime, ship electrification, automation or related industries.
• Good command of spoken English.
• Strong expertise in managing the budgets, schedules, scope and resources of large-scale projects, including multiple concurrent projects.
• Proficiency in project budgeting, cost control, capacity planning and performance reporting.
• Solution-oriented and proactive mindset.
• Strong leadership, team management and communication skills.

Job Description

• Lead and develop the Project, Product, Budget Control, Planning, and R&D Center departments in alignment with the company’s strategies.
• Oversee the company’s project portfolio holistically, ensuring effective management of scope, budget, schedule, quality, profitability and customer expectations.
• Set priorities across projects and ensure the efficient allocation of resources through workforce planning, technical capacity management and workload balancing.
• Monitor project budgets, actual costs, and cost-to-completion forecasts, taking the necessary corrective actions to address deviations and mitigate risks.
• Drive product development, standardization and engineering improvement initiatives, ensuring that technical changes are managed in a controlled manner.
• Manage R&D Center activities and projects, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and incentive requirements, as well as reporting obligations and performance targets.
• Ensure effective coordination between the departments under their responsibility and other directorates, customers, shipyards, classification societies and relevant stakeholders.
• Manage the performance, professional development and competency needs of their teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
