Accounting Specialist

We are currently seeking a highly qualified “Accounting Specialist” to join our team based in Kartal, Istanbul.

Qualifications:

• Graduated from relevant departments of universities (Economics, Business Administration, Finance, etc.),
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
• Proficient in both written and spoken English; Romanian language skills are a plus
• In-depth knowledge of the uniform chart of accounts and tax legislation
• Strong understanding of accounting and tax laws and regulations
• Ability to read and interpret financial data accurately
• Excellent command of E-ledger, E-invoice, E-Delivery, and E-Archive applications
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (preferably Canias)
• Experience with VAT withholding and currency valuation transactions
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, attention to detail, and a team-oriented approach
• CPA (SMMM) certification is preferred
• Proven experience in team management is an asset

Job Description:

• Ensure accurate and timely recording of accounting transactions and support general accounting processes
• Support the preparation and review of tax declarations and financial statements (P&L, OPEX)
• Provide assistance in invoice and bank processes, including e-invoice, e-archive, and export/import customs files
• Monitor credit card and employee expense transactions, managing related accounting processes
• Track customer and supplier accounts, perform reconciliations, and prepare counterpart account reconciliation reports
• Actively participate in cost analyses, budgeting, and cash flow analysis
• Handle intercompany transactions and ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Coordinate independent audit processes and contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies
• Lead and support the accounting team, ensuring effective operations and regular account reconciliations
• Complete counterpart review minutes, fill out TÜİK forms, and complete surveys from similar institutions
