At present, we are seeking a highly skilled Foreign Trade Specialist to join our team in Kartal, Istanbul.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from relevant departments of universities
- Minimum 5 years of experience in import, export, transit trade, customs, and logistics regulations and operations
- Advanced level of English proficiency
- Solid knowledge of Incoterms, payment, and delivery terms
- Strong understanding of international law, customs regulations, and economics
- Proficiency in MS Office programs, especially advanced Excel skills
- Experience with ERP systems
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to take initiative and make quick decisions
Description:
- Carry out operational processes related to foreign trade (export, import, transit trade, customs transfer, and logistics); prepare and track all required documents
- Prepare and manage various types of letters of credit and related documentation such as documentary credit, letter of credit (L/C), documentary letter of credit, and commercial letter of credit
- Follow up and manage the processes related to temporary importation
- Handle and track all documentation and processes related to tax-exempt (export registered) entries and shipments
- Plan and coordinate international and domestic shipment operations; maintain effective communication and coordination with customs brokers and logistics providers
- Work in coordination with Project, Accounting, and Finance departments to ensure timely and accurate submission of relevant files
- Manage the collection, tracking, and reporting of incentive-related documents
- Prepare all necessary reports on export, import, transit trade, and logistics, and present them to senior management
- Create and maintain organized archives of all relevant records and documents within the scope of the position
