Senior Virtualization and Storage Specialist

We are looking for a Senior Virtualization and Storage Specialist to be based at our headquarters in Maslak, Istanbul.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher 
• At least 5 years of experience in system administration and similar subjects
• Good command of English to ensure oral and written communication
• Knowledge and experience in virtualization/replication technologies
• Can set up and manage Storage and Server Active Active Redundant (VM High Availability, Fault Tolerance etc.) working configurations
• Good command of VMware virtualization solutions
• Preferably knowledgeable in VDI and Clouddc systems
• Experienced in Windows and Linux Server operating systems
• Knowledge of HPE 3PAR, Storeonce, HPE Blade, Simplivity (HCI), HPE Oneview products
• Experienced in the management of storage and SAN switch systems (Dell, EMC, Pure, HPE)
• Knowledge and experience in data storage, products and technologies
• Proficient in Backup systems (preferably Veeam)
• Knowledge of server architectures, storage and hardware
• Knowledge of managing and planning physical server infrastructure installations, creating SAN and Network fiber maps
• Analytical thinking, solution-oriented, planning and business follow-up
• Preferably with VCP, VCP6-DVC certificates
• Good teamwork skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Following technology and innovations, creative, open to learning and development

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide installation and maintenance services for server products
• Update, upgrade and migrate critical patches to devices as needed (virtualization/servers/storage/SAN switches)
• Manage data storage products
• Perform necessary work, take precautions and make recommendations to keep the system running 24/7 without interruption.
• Perform data center operations; track maintenance, monitoring, and virtualization processes
• Analyze system performance and take action as needed
• Virtualization platform installation and day-to-day operations
• Regularly monitor, tune, and report on system performance
• Perform disaster recovery testing, backup and restore testing
• Liaise with external resources and provide solutions as required
• Prepare and maintain documentation
• Ensure the operation of backup systems
• Monitor capacity and performance of systems under your responsibility
