POSITION: SALES COORDINATOR – YOTEL ISTANBUL AIRPORT
QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Overview:
Supporting Sales team in all aspects of department activities and supporting the Director of Sales with sales efforts to reach the hotel’s financial goals. All responsibilities shall be carried out in a timely, accurate, and professional manner, in accordance with YOTEL’s core values.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Executing strategies developed by senior leadership to achieve hotel’s financial goals.
- Determines high potential accounts by correspondence, account visits (sales calls) and telemarketing to necessary companies, agencies and to all local and international related sources.
- Responsible for smooth operation of the sales office by managing all communication channels such as phone, mail traffic and other channels – all with same day 2-hour response time.
- Prepares rate proposals and makes necessary correspondence for Corporate Accounts and Travel Agencies.
- Prepares group proposals for group requests, enter group blocks and prepare resumes in coordination with the DOS and Sales Managers.
- Partners with Sales team to ensure all group needs are met, encourage repeat business.
- Prepares reports necessary for Sales Department.
- Assists with the Marketing actions where necessary.
- Attends weekly Revenue meetings.
- Actively assists all activities for successful sales engagements.
- Accountable for monthly, quarterly and annual revenue, room night, ADR and total revenue targets.
- Ensures contractual agreements are executed in a timely, and error-free manner.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Director of Sales and Marketing.
- Conduct on-property sales activities, including show rounds, FAM and organizing client events.
- Establish and nurture direct relationships with the top key agents and associations relevant to the Business Transient segment.
- Secure new business and maintain repeat bookings within the relevant market segment.
- Complete all Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from focus segments.
- Manage existing account relationships and develop new ones to benefit the cluster of hotels.
- Represent the YOTEL brand at industry trade shows, actively seeking cross-selling opportunities.
- Partner with local boards and associations to ensure participation in local events and community activities.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure all customer needs are met, encouraging repeat business.
- Prepare accurate weekly and monthly reports, along with any additional reports as required.
- Identify and uncover new opportunities that have business potential for each hotel within the cluster, particularly within the focus segment.
- Actively prospect and sell continuously, researching, identifying, targeting, qualifying, and securing new business to drive revenue and profitability for the hotel.
- Innovate new approaches to uncover and capture business opportunities within the focus segment.
- Be accountable for meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue, room night, Food and Beverage (F&B), and Average Daily Rate (ADR) targets for each hotel in the focus segment and overall revenue in alignment with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Pursue membership in networking organizations to prospect for new business and build strong relations with customers and industry partners.
- Maintain a solid knowledge of the competitor set and their activities. Perform a SWOT analysis for hotels in comp. set.
Skills/Qualifications:
- College degree in Hospitality or related field.
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in sales.
- Should be able to perform effective sales calls.
- Must have the ability to solicit, qualify and secure business in addition to growing existing accounts.
- Thorough knowledge of major market segments.
- Initiative-taking, energetic and professionally enthusiastic with excellent customer service.
- Ability to work with a flexible schedule.
- Ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment.
- Excellent presentation, communication, organization, and computer skills.
- Good knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Social media and online platform management experience is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to a dynamic environment.
