Job Description

•    Preparation and negotiation with suppliers about pricing and contracts inside a dedicated material field, experience in Aluminium Die Casting, containing operation and commercial topics (prices, invoices, orders, Engineering Change Request, Q-tools)

Responsible

•    Communication with internal and external stakeholders inside the material fields
•    Monitor supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement
•    Develop and manage budget for tooling
•    Development and roll out of material field strategy
•    Single point of contact in case of escalations
•    Supplier scouting and 2nd sourcing

Qualifications

•    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or a related engineering field
•    Min. 5 years of experience as a Buyer or a Purchasing Engineer
•    Experience with SAP and other IT tools for functional processes
•    Proven ability to develop and implement material field strategies
•    Fluent in English is a must, German is an asset
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
•    Excellent negotiation skills
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team
•    Comfortable with working in an intercultural environment
