ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for a BESS Proposal & Design Engineer to join our Aksa BESS team at Çerkezköy Factory at Tekirdağ. The position will mainly focus on technical design, engineering calculations, cost estimation, and technical proposal preparation for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.

WHAT MUST YOU HAVE (GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS)

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical project design and technical proposal preparation in  EPC sector.
• Knowledge of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), solar energy systems, power generation, and electrical infrastructure.
• Experience in preparing technical proposals, cost estimates, Bill of Materials (BOM), and project documentation.
• Ability to prepare and review single-line diagrams, electrical layouts, technical specifications, and engineering calculations.
• Knowledge of electrical design software such as AutoCAD,  or similar engineering tools.
• Understanding of grid connection requirements, electrical standards, and relevant technical regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cost optimization skills.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken, with strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work with sales, engineering, and project teams, with willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required.

WHAT WILL YOU DO (JOB DESCRIPTIONS)

• Prepare technical designs and engineering solutions for BESS projects based on customer requirements and project specifications.
• Support the sales team in preparing technical and commercial proposals, including equipment selection, cost estimation, and technical documentation.
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), quantity take-offs, and CAPEX/OPEX calculations to support accurate project pricing.
• Perform electrical engineering calculations, including system sizing, short-circuit analysis, voltage drop calculations, and grid connection studies.
• Prepare single-line diagrams, electrical layouts, system architecture, and energy management solutions using engineering software.
• Review customer technical specifications, tender documents, and project requirements to develop suitable and cost-effective BESS solutions.
• Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to obtain technical information, equipment specifications, and pricing for project proposals.
• Prepare and improve standard design documents, technical specification templates, cost estimation tools, and proposal documentation.
• Ensure project designs and technical proposals comply with applicable standards, safety requirements, and TEDAŞ/TEİAŞ regulations.
• Participate in customer meetings, technical discussions, and site visits with the sales team to support project development and proposal activities.
