Projects & Investments Manager

The Projects & Investments Manager is responsible for identifying, evaluating, developing, and coordinating the company’s new projects and investment opportunities. The role combines investment analysis, business development, project management, market research, financial feasibility, and technical coordination.

The role will work closely with Board Members, as well as Finance, Engineering, Production, Procurement, Sales, and other relevant functions to ensure that investment decisions are based on sound commercial, financial, and technical analysis.

Key Responsibilities

1. Identify and evaluate potential new investment and project opportunities in line with the company’s strategic objectives.
2. Prepare comprehensive feasibility studies for new investments, projects, products, production lines, machinery, facilities, and other strategic initiatives.
3. Conduct financial and commercial analyses, including CAPEX, OPEX, revenue projections, profitability, cash flow, ROI, payback period, NPV, IRR, and sensitivity analyses.
4. Conduct post-investment reviews to compare actual performance against the original investment case and identify lessons learned.
5. Monitor and analyze relevant industries, markets, technologies, growth potential, competitors, and emerging business opportunities.
6. Coordinate projects from initial concept and feasibility through approval, implementation, commissioning, and handover.
7. Coordinate cross-functional project teams and ensure effective communication between all relevant departments.
8. Lead and coordinate machinery, equipment, production line, and other capital expenditure projects.
9. Define investment requirements together with technical and operational teams.
10. Coordinate supplier selection, quotation analysis, commercial negotiations, and procurement processes together with the relevant departments.

Candidate Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
2. Minimum 7 years of professional experience, including significant experience in project, investment, manufacturing, or operations management.
3. Fluent English, with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with senior management, international suppliers, consultants, and internal teams.
4. PMP certification is mandatory, along with a strong practical background in project management.
5. Proven experience in investment feasibility studies, business cases, financial analysis, and investment decision-making.
6. Strong experience in manufacturing environments, machinery investments, production lines, facility expansions, and other CAPEX projects.
7. Strong understanding of profitability analysis, ROI, IRR, NPV, CAPEX/OPEX, budgeting, and financial modelling.
8. Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects from concept and approval through implementation, commissioning, and operational handover.
9. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to evaluate market opportunities, risks, and long-term business impact.
