At BASF Agricultural Solutions, we develop solutions that help farmers produce more efficiently and sustainably. To continue our growth in Türkiye, we are looking for a Product Development Specialist to join our team.

A Product Development Specialist at BASF is responsible for evaluating, developing, and preparing agricultural products for successful market introduction. The role involves planning and managing field trials, analyzing product performance, interpreting technical data, and collaborating closely with R&D, marketing, regulatory, and sales teams to support product development and commercialization.

Your responsibilities

1.     Lead and execute all R&D trials, with a primary focus on regulatory registration studies, while establishing product comparison and market support trials as required.

2.     Ensure that trials targeting diseases, pests, and weeds are conductedin suitable locations with adequate infestation, population, or pressure levels, in full compliance with approved protocols and methodologies.

3.     Accurately record and validate trial data in relevant systems anddeliver timely reports and presentations in the required formats.

4.     Ensure quality management of all field and greenhouse trials in compliance with local regulations and BASF standards, including Local Methods, SOPs, and GEP requirements.

5.     Manage BASF trial sites by planning all trial-related activities, including seasonal and daily labor requirements, and ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of agricultural equipment and trial tools.

6.     Actively communicate unexpected observations, developments, and trial results to relevant stakeholders.

7.     Monitor and supervise trials conducted by external contractors and research organizations within the assigned area of responsibility.

8.     Actively contribute to resistance monitoring and resistance management programs at the country level.

9.     Facilitate knowledge sharing within the organization, organize trial visits, and present trial results through relevant technical and business platforms.

10.  Serve as the technical expert and product owner for assigned products,supporting marketing activities such as the development of Unique Selling Propositions (USPs) and technical positioning strategies.

What we expect

•     Degree in Agricultural Engineering, preferably from the Departments of Plant Protection, Field Crops, or Horticulture.

•     Advanced academic qualifications (MSc or PhD) in one of these disciplines and is preferred.

•     At least 5 years of experience in the design, management, and execution of Crop Protection product trials.

•     Possession of a Fungicide Trial Authorization Certificate on Fungicide Trials is highly preferred.
