Power Transformer Installation Engineer / Site Supervisor – UK / Visa Sponsorship

Brightlink Power Testing Limited is looking for an experienced Power Transformer Installation Engineer / Site Supervisor to join our UK transformer installation team.
Established in 2016 and based in Stafford, Brightlink provides specialist installation, testing and commissioning services for HV/EHV substations across the UK at voltage levels up to 400 kV.
This opportunity is open to experienced engineers currently based in Türkiye who are willing to relocate to the UK. Skilled Worker visa sponsorship will be provided to the successful candidate, subject to eligibility.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervision and participation in power transformer installation and erection activities
- Pre-site surveys and planning of installation activities, resources, tools and equipment
- Supervision of transformer offloading, positioning and assembly
- Supervision and participation in transformer vacuum, oil filling, filtration and oil processing activities
- Transformer pre-commissioning and commissioning support
- Review of transformer GA drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and OEM installation documentation
- Preparation of RAMS, ITPs, daily reports, progress reports and quality records
- Identification and resolution of technical issues during installation and commissioning
- Coordination with clients, OEM representatives, project managers and commissioning teams
- Supervision of site teams and subcontractors
- Working in accordance with UK health, safety and client requirements
Requirements
- BSc in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on power transformer installation and erection experience
- Practical experience with large power transformer assembly and installation
- Good knowledge of transformer vacuum treatment, oil filling, filtration and oil processing
- Ability to read and interpret transformer GA drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and OEM documentation
- Experience supervising installation teams and subcontractors on site
- Good understanding of site HSE requirements and safe systems of work
- Ability to prepare professional site reports and technical documentation
- Good written and spoken English
- Valid driving licence
- Ability to travel to project sites throughout the UK
- Willingness to relocate to the United Kingdom
- Military service completed or no outstanding military service obligation
Desirable Experience
- Experience working directly with international transformer OEMs
- Experience with large power transformers at 132 kV, 275 kV and 400 kV
- Transformer oil treatment and vacuum processing equipment
- OLTC installation, inspection or testing
- Transformer diagnostic and electrical testing
