Brightlink Power Testing Limited is looking for an experienced Substation Commissioning Engineer to join our UK commissioning team.
Established in 2016 and based in Stafford, Brightlink provides specialist installation, testing and commissioning services for HV/EHV substations across the UK.
This opportunity is open to experienced engineers currently based in Türkiye who are willing to relocate to the UK. Skilled Worker visa sponsorship will be provided to the successful candidate, subject to eligibility.
Main Responsibilities
- Testing and commissioning of HV/EHV substation primary and secondary equipment
- Power transformer, CT/VT and HV/MV switchgear testing and commissioning
- Protection relay testing and secondary injection
- Protection, control, interlocking and functional scheme checks
- SCADA and control signal verification
- Review of electrical drawings, protection schematics and wiring diagrams
- Preparation of commissioning test records and reports
- Working in accordance with UK health, safety and client requirements
Requirements
- BSc in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on substation testing and commissioning experience
- Experience in HV/EHV transmission, distribution or power generation projects
- Practical knowledge of protection and control systems
- Experience with protection IEDs from manufacturers such as Hitachi Energy/ABB, Siemens and GE
- Experience using Omicron CMC, CPC or similar test equipment
- Good written and spoken English
- Valid driving licence
- Ability to travel to project sites throughout the UK
- Willingness to relocate to the United Kingdom
- Military service completed or no outstanding military service obligation
