Import & Export Specialist

About the Role

Ecoloni Food and Ecological Products has been operating in the organic food and clean-label products sector since 2017. We are looking for an Import & Export Specialist to join our team and manage our international trade operations.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional with strong English communication skills and a solid understanding of import, export, logistics, and international customer relations.

This role offers the opportunity to take an active part in our international business operations while working in a flexible hybrid working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage export operations from customer orders to final shipment.

Prepare and manage proforma invoices, commercial invoices, packing lists, and other export documents.

Coordinate import and export activities with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and logistics companies.

Organize and follow up on transportation, container and truck bookings, shipments, and deliveries.

Coordinate the preparation and follow-up of health certificates, phytosanitary certificates, laboratory analysis reports, and other required documents for food products.

Communicate with international customers and suppliers in English, managing quotations, orders, and business correspondence.

Follow up on the import of raw materials and packaging materials, including purchasing, shipment, and delivery processes.

Collect and evaluate supplier quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and support cost analysis.

Coordinate order, stock, delivery, and lead-time processes with relevant departments.

Research new markets and business opportunities and participate in trade fairs and business meetings when required.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or associate degree in Foreign Trade, International Trade and Logistics, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

At least 2 years of experience in import and export operations.

Advanced English skills, with the ability to independently handle business correspondence, meetings, and negotiations.

Experience in the food industry is preferred, particularly in the import and export of food products, organic products, or food ingredients.

International work experience or experience working directly with overseas customers and suppliers is an advantage.

Good knowledge of import/export procedures, customs clearance, and international logistics.

Familiarity with Incoterms and international payment methods.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Strong communication, negotiation, planning, and organizational skills.

A proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused approach to work.

Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment and travel to our Sakarya office on designated on-site working days.

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required.
