QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
In charge of all aspects of the Housekeeping & Spa Department’s function and daily operation related to the highest level of cleanliness standards and personalized guest services, associated administration and control. Able to lead a diverse range of people, manage equipment and supplies, be innovative and resourceful.
Main Duties :
- Establishes standards and procedures to maintain hotel and public areas at luxury level and incorporates changes in the manuals.
- Controls Spa department
- Plans work assignments and scheduling
- Expends funds for payroll and operating items within the established budget.
- Prepares departmental annual budget.
- Evaluates premises’ current physical condition.
- Recommends needed repairs and refurbishing
- Controls laundry performance and uniforms.
- Ensures staff receives all required training.
- Signs purchase orders and bills.
- Selects, motivates, trains, supervises, evaluates, counsels and terminates staff.
- Plans daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly assignments and projects for all Housekeeping & Spa colleagues.
- Oversees and plans administrative duties such as, but not limited to, departmental scheduling, payroll, purchase requests and monthly consumption reports.
- Implements control on department labour costs and minimize costs while ensuring that adequate staffing is available to provide five star services.
- Schedule walk-through and follow up with all outside contractors.
- Performs daily, weekly and monthly inspection of all public areas, guestrooms, exterior of building and back of house areas, to ensure that the highest standards are met.
- Conducts daily communication meetings with Housekeeping & Spa team.
- Attends Rooms Division meetings were applicable to ensure high level of information flow within the division.
- Prepares, amends departmental job descriptions for every job category.
- Coordinates and oversees the activities of Housekeeping Supervisors & Spa Team to ensure established operational guidelines and procedures are followed and standards are met, coaches for professional development and carries out their performance evaluations.
