Spare Parts Purchasing Engineer (Temporary)

We are looking for a full-time “Spare Parts Purchasing Engineer (Temporary Assignment)” for our Izmir office in Gram Equipment Turkey as part of our Procurement team.

 A background in the machine manufacturing industry, product knowledge, technical drawing interpretation skills, and hands-on experience in a similar role in an international environment, including cooperation with a global supplier base, is a plus.

 Your key responsibilities as a Spare Parts Purchasing Engineer:

• Reporting to Procurement Manager

• Managing the purchasing activities of spare parts sold to customers, ensuring the required price, quality, and delivery performance

• Searching and identifying suitable suppliers for spare parts requirements

• Supporting the Spare Parts Sales team by providing purchasing-related feedback, supplier information, lead times, availability, and cost-related inputs for customer requests

• Acting as the main purchasing contact for spare parts-related questions and coordinating solutions with internal and external stakeholders

• Managing supplier communication and relationships to ensure continuous improvement in delivery performance, quality, and responsiveness

• Supporting cost optimization activities and supplier improvement initiatives for spare parts

• Maintaining and improving purchasing-related master data in the ERP system

• Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, especially the Spare Parts Sales team, as well as other departments such as Procurement Team and Design teams

• Supporting invoice discrepancy resolution together with relevant stakeholders

Your key qualifications as a Spare Parts Purchasing Engineer:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or another relevant educational background (such as Business Administration), is a plus

• Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings

• Advanced level of ERP understanding and Microsoft Excel skills

• Preferably minimum +4 years of purchasing experience, preferably in spare parts, machinery, or manufacturing industries

• Experience in purchasing commercial and design parts is a plus

• Experience in safety stock evaluation and optimization, is a plus

• Digital expertise in technological systems and tools with strong analytical capability

• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills with a team-oriented mindset

• B Class Driver’s License

• No restriction for domestic and international travel
