As a Legal Counsel you will apply advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is Contribute to the development of new ideas and methods. Work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Lead and/or provide expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Act as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Represent the organization to external customers/clients. Exercise significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.
In a typical day as a Legal Counsel, you would
· Provide and manage legal solutions for internal clients at the country and/or business unit level as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor.
· Develop new ideas, methods and procedures to effectively address recurring legal issues or matters facing multiple client organizations
· Support commercial transactions and complex multidimensional projects and transactions, including complex negotiations with customers.
· Identify and resolve complex legal issues, including commercial disputes, for client organizations, requiring in-depth consideration of multiple factors.
· Concurrently work on multiple legal issues and projects for various client organizations.
· Draft corporate documents relating to local subsidiaries
· Support various stakeholders and cross-HPE processes managed outside of the country
· Work on liquidation processes of inactive local subsidiaries, with advice of outside counsel,
· Monitor outside Counsel fees and related internal procedures
· Instill awareness to legal, ethics and compliance matters
· Advise on a range of HR and labour related matters
Education and Experience Required:
· Advanced university degree in law (LLB).
· Meets local legal Bar Association license requirements.
· Typically, 2-4 years of commercial legal experience. In-house experience - an advantage.
· A developed level of business experience supporting clients.
· Experience in working with public sector customers – an advantage

· Able to translate complex legal or factual issues into plain language communications.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
· Awareness of the international legal environment.
