• University graduate, preferably from engineering departments, Environmental Engineering is desired,
• Preferably min. 3 years of professional experience related to EHS, preferably in optics sector,
• Passionate for a profession in Occupational Health and Safety,
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System,
• Good knowledge of quality management systems,
• Experience in implementing ISO 9001,
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Turkish is mandatory,
• Ability to prepare written documentation such as reports, strategies, operational procedures, etc,
• Highly organized, structured and flexible, able to work well under pressure,
• Knowledge about safety culture and modern safety,
• Experienced in problem solving methods.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS

• Work in close coordination with Global EHS on matters of Regulatory Compliance and ensure timely implementation of policies and procedures as guided by the Global team,
• Promote the active management of Environment, Health and Safety through the identification of hazards, evaluation of solutions and residual risk, and implementing corrective and preventive actions,
• Promoting better EHS culture by driving various EHS performance improvement initiatives and identify creative methods to improve employee engagement like Safety Day / Week, World Water day / week, Environment day / week, Road Safety week etc.,
• Identify, coordinate and provide EHS-related training as required by legislation,
• Engagement in efficient ways to manage / reduce Water, Energy consumption and Waste reduction program and other such Corporate initiatives,
• Work closely with Business Units and Corporate EHS teams to flow down various initiatives to strengthen overall EHS performance,
• Evaluate new and advanced systems and technologies in the area of EHS and drive continuous improvements in EHS performance of the Organization,
• To monitor product / process quality parameters (as required) & provide timely feedback to Labs. Follow up for corrective & preventive actions,
• Create awareness and provide appropriate Training on matters of Regulatory Compliance to the regional contacts,
• Read and stay up-to-date on applicable standards & regulations (existing / new / revised) relevant to product specifications,
• Ensure timely implementation of policies and procedures as guided by the Global team,
• Participate in periodical assessments / audits of the entities on Regulatory Compliance. Closely monitor & follow up on implementation of Corrective action plans with the entities.
