Role Definition

This role provides end-to-end packaging development support for various markets across the Americas and Europe. The role holder develops, specifies, and manages packaging artworks for a broad range of projects, applying the appropriate processes, systems, technologies, and supply solutions. From a strategic perspective, the role supports global packaging strategies and applies company standards and best practices to deliver high-quality, compliant, and cost-effective packaging at speed.

Key Deliverables

Deliver new packaging developments on time, in full, and within budget, in line with processes, quality requirements, product compliance standards, and brand guidelines.

Provide expert technical input and practical recommendations on packaging-related projects to internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Partner with brand teams to ensure packaging solutions are fit for purpose while avoiding unnecessary cost and complexity.

Manage day-to-day packaging development activities, including:

• Coordinating artwork agencies in the creation, review, and release of packaging artwork and health-warning templates.
•  Working collaboratively with approved repro houses, material suppliers, and print suppliers.
• Managing all required approval processes for printed packaging materials in accordance with internal standards.

Recognise the 24-hour nature of the printing and packaging industry and, when required, attend print runs outside normal working hours. Approve print appearance standards for new packaging materials and, following acceptance of the first production run, provide master appearance standards to printers and relevant operations teams to ensure future consistency.

Expectations

• Strong collaboration skills, with the confidence to work closely with NPI (New Product Implementation), operations, supply chain, project leads across designated markets, and external suppliers to deliver effective packaging solutions.
•  Demonstrated knowledge of printing materials and processes, artwork creation, and repro workflows.
•  Advanced written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate and present technical and non-technical topics effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
•  Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical capability, and a consistent focus on accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Practical knowledge of printing technologies, colour management, and press-approval processes.
• Willingness to travel and attend supplier press approvals outside normal working hours when required.
