We are looking for a Laboratory Operations & Technical Manager to join the Bio-Integrated Microdevices Laboratory (BMDL) research group within Koç University’s College of Engineering, who meets the following criteria:

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, bioengineering, natural sciences, or a related field
• Preferably 3+ years of hands-on laboratory, R&D, or technical operations experience
• Comfortable working with laboratory equipment and troubleshooting technical issues
• Strong organizational, inventory management, follow-up, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with microfabrication methods, laser micromachining, or related manufacturing systems is preferred
• Experience with 3D printing and rapid prototyping systems is an asset
• Experience with laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration, or technical service processes
• Experience with purchasing, technical quotation evaluation, and supplier management
• Familiarity with SOPs, laboratory safety, quality systems, or equipment management systems
• Experience in bioengineering, biomedical engineering, medtech, micro/nanotechnology, or a similar research environment is an asset
• Sufficient English to work with technical documentation, equipment manuals, and international suppliers

Job Description

• Coordinate the operation and maintenance of laser micromachining, 3D printing, and other laboratory systems
• Manage equipment maintenance, calibration, service, and technical issue follow-up
• Manage laboratory inventory, stock levels, purchasing, and supplier coordination
• Maintain SOPs and support onboarding, safe equipment use, and laboratory organization
• Identify recurring operational issues and implement preventive and more efficient laboratory processes
• Ensure the laboratory remains operational, safe, well organized, and technically sustainable on a day-to-day basis
