Purchasing and Logistics Manager

Jokey Ambalaj, a packaging manufacturing company located in GEBKİM OSB (Dilovası - KOCAELİ), Turkey's first and only specialized chemical organized industrial zone, is seeking a "Purchasing and Logistics Manager".

Within the Jokey Türkiye organization, we are seeking a “Purchasing and Logistics Manager” to be assigned to our plant located in Dilovası. The position will report directly to the General Manager and will also work in a matrix structure with the Group Purchasing Managers.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordination of purchasing needs with the customers in the plant,
• Product/supplier selection on the basis of the authorised suppliers,
• Release orders from centrally concluded framework agreements, where available,
• Operational supply (where no framework agreements are available), Invitation to tender for the requested procurement requirements,
• Analysis of the bids and preparation of the price comparison list and Negotiations with the bidders,
• Deciding on the contract award and placing the order,
• Monitoring stock and processing complaints,
• Monitoring and ensuring compliance with delivery dates, quantities and quality,
• Recording and updating the procurement procedures in ERP,
• Analysis, exploitation and documentation of purchasing opportunities,
• Close communication with the lead buyers and all relevant departments,
• Processing of import transactions and handling of customs issues,
• Selection for, evaluation and development of the regional supplier portfolio in coordination with the responsible lead buyers,
• Observance of the current purchasing policy (compliance),
• Responsibilities also include ensuring the efficient operation of warehousing and logistics processes; coordinating the correct receipt and placement of materials in appropriate storage areas; conducting regular inventory checks; and ensuring the uninterrupted flow of internal logistics.

Qualifications

• Graduated from relevant departments of universities,
• Experience in purchasing processes within the packaging manufacturing industry,
• Proven experience in purchasing raw materials, auxiliary materials, and technical equipment,
• Competence in supplier evaluation, contract management, price analysis, and cost optimization,
• Strong analytical thinking and reporting skills; closely follows market dynamics,
• Knowledge of warehouse, transportation, shipment, and foreign trade operations
• Strong communication and negotiation skills,
• Proficient in MS Office applications,
• Experience in managing teams and planning departmental organization.
